The Humane Society of Durham Region (HSDR) is a registered charity dedicated to protecting and providing temporary shelter and comfort to all animals in need and promoting adoptions and re-homing for unwanted, abused, neglected and abandoned animals. Operating in a modern shelter in the industrial area of Whitby, HSDR receives no government funding and relies solely on charitable donations and fundraising. With staff veterinary services available, surrendered pets are given the care they need while awaiting adoption and we are proud of our "kill free" status. All proceeds from the gala will directly support the animals we serve. Wine N' Whiskers gala is a unique event, NEW to the Durham Region. The event is one of the most important events for the Humane Society to help with delivering programs and services. Our evening will consist of a feature cocktail, a reception, complimentary bar service, silent and live auction, live entertainment and a delicious meal taking place at the Jubilee Pavilion. After dinner enjoy dancing to Durham Region's own Two for the Show.
