At the current time, we have no representation by a resident who lives in Ward 1 at the regional or local levels. Most of the candidates running in this upcoming January 25th by-election , are also not Ward 1 residents. I believe your Ward 1 City Councillor who you choose to represent you as a community of Ward 1, should have to be a resident of Ward 1. I, Lisa Robinson, am that resident. I am your neighbour. For those of you who don't know me, I live at the corner of Rosebank and Toynevale. I am street captain for our newly developed Neighbourhood Watch program, Co-Chair of the SCC at Rosebank Public School and I also sit on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Pickering. Many of you each year (approx. 400) visit my annual Halloween Haunt, and I thank you for all your support and donations where as this year we raised over One Thousand Three Hundred Dollars and all of the proceeds went to Rosebank PS.

As your city councillor my door is always open. You can knock, or call, flag me down in the street, email or text and I promise to always return that call as soon as I can, or stop to listen to what you have to say. Helping the residents of Ward 1 is my priority, and though being a City Councillor of Pickering is not a full time position, I, unlike other candidates, will make it my full time career representing you.
