Pickering Wing Festival Highlight - Bollocks Pub and Kitchen Coffee Talks Roadshow
Brian sits down to discuss WINGS at Bollocks Pub and Kitchens with owner John Allen and Pickering Wing Festival Chair, Leon Presner. Bollocks is one of the Wingers showcased at the inaugural Wing Festival and in this episode we forego the coffee and skip to the wings!
During this series of the Coffee Talks Roadshow, Brian substitutes coffee for chicken wings as he chats with John Allan of Bollock’s Pub and Kitchen, winger in the 1st Annual Pickering Rotary Wing Festival. John talks about Bollock’s Signature Roasted Red Pepper chicken wings which will be featured at Bollock’s booth at the festival.
Joining Brian and John is Leon Presner, Director of Community Services of Pickering Rotary Club and Chair of the Pickering Wing Festival. The festival is set to highlight many fantastic, local vendors, wingers and even a microbrewer. This event is happening Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Pickering Recreation Complex, between 6:00 pm and midnight. There is a $5.00 entry fee with all proceeds raised going to fund Rotary’s Charity endeavours all over our community. Each entrance ticket comes with special offers as well as an entry voucher to win box seats to an event at the General Motors Centre. Wings will be available at near-to restaurant prices. Although tickets will be available at the door, they will be limited. It is highly recommended that you purchase your tickets prior to the event. Finally, Brian, John and Leon discuss the importance of business community involvement in events such as the Pickering Wing Festival, and what happens to the money raised during events like the Pickering Wing Festival.
