AjaxPickering.ca was first conceived in 2001 and nearly 7 years later it was launched September 1, 2008. Identifying two prime customers, end-users and business/restaurant owners; our website needed to identify key needs for both audiences. The need for access to be free for end users and inexpensive for businesses to promote their services are still fundamental elements which our web site has as our business objective and mandate.
Being an independent and privately owned local media company has its rewards and struggles. One of our major areas for success is building strong relationships in the community. We do this by being very dynamic and fluid which allows us to adapt to the needs of the community. Having a lean corporate structure permits us to remain competitive in a saturated advertising industry. We lack the layers of corporate bloat which tends to increase prices passed on to customers.
