Where does the time go? Summer break is over and our children are back to school. The summer traffic has morphed into heavier trafficked streets with the addition of school bus traffic on them. Although, it does not SEEM that summer even made an appearance, the grave reality is September is here and we need to brace for fall.
When driving on our roads, please be reminded that buses are carrying precious cargo. Be patient and drive slowly through sub divisions and school areas. Be careful of children walking to and from school. Also, remember while driving, when encountering School Buses with lights on, it means you must stop. Watch for children crossing the street or entering roadways.
A summer of rushing northbound, eastbound, or wherever-bound has dulled our senses when driving on our roadways. Slow down and everyone arrives home alive. Remember, fines increase for speeding in School Zones and not stopping for School Busses. Drive safe; students, WALK smart; we all win.
Best of luck this school year, may it be the best year ever.
