Whenever possible, use Christmas gift bags for wrapping, it is quicker, easier and better for the environment.
Have one or two wrapped, unisex gift s ready for the unexpected. Any unused gifts will come in handy for a last minute birthday or hostess gift. (Don’t forget to change the bag!)
Christmas Cards
Plan to address & sign cards the first week of December
Save the return address labels when you receive cards, use these to address your cards
Signing cards could be a family activity, especially if a young one has just learned to write-they will be eager to help!
Christmas Tree
Make it a fun activity! Put on Christmas music. Decorate your home the same day you put up the tree.
Keep all Christmas items in a labeled box.
Box the tree decorations and Christmas wrap separately from the home decorative pieces.
Keep a spare extension cord with your tree decorations, you will save time looking for a spare one when you are setting up your tree.
Baking
If you can schedule the time, bake!
If you do not, buy some bakery items, there are quite a variety available during the Christmas season, you can serve them for invited guests, surprise guests or last minute party invitations.
